Greatwise Developments celebrated a major milestone at its highly anticipated Fresh Towns development in Ottawa last weekend. The Toronto-based builder held an official groundbreaking ceremony at its sales office at Baseline Road and Morrison Drive on Sunday afternoon. Guests, including many purchasers, enjoyed music by multi-instrumentalist Kelly Craig, CEO and Musical Director for the Shine Group, while indulging in tasty treats and gourmet fare by Tulips and Maple. They were also among the first to view the project’s Signature Collection. This latest release consists of 11 stunning townhomes geared for outdoor living with designs that feature spacious backyards and rooftop patios.

Priced from the upper $300,000s, the homes at Fresh Towns range from 1,283 square feet to 1,745 square feet and include one- or two-car garages, two- to three-bedrooms, and laundry rooms on either the main floor or on the bedroom level. The Rooftop Collection features expansive outdoor terraces on top of each home, while those in the Contemporary Collection boast private backyard patios.

The new Signature Collection includes nine innovative townhomes and two semi-detached — the first time that semis have been offered in the Fresh Towns community. The latest designs provide residents a traditional backyard and an incredible rooftop patio to enjoy the outdoors. That’s in addition to spacious interiors with a study and powder room on the ground level, generously-sized bedrooms and luxurious master ensuites (all as per plan).

Exteriors boasts modern architecture by award-winning architecture firm Roderick Lahey Architect Inc. Characterized by brick with cement board and wood-like siding accents, the elevations are clean and modern resulting in a sophisticated and inviting streetscape.

The interiors were designed by West of Main and offer bright, vibrant and open-concept spaces for easy living and entertaining. Principal rooms feature nine-foot ceilings and engineered hardwood floors throughout, while kitchens are finished with stone countertops, designer backsplashes and a stainless steel appliance package.

Located at Morrison Drive and Baseline Road, Fresh Towns is ideally situated in an established neighbourhood close to a wealth of local amenities. Bayshore Shopping Centre, for example, is a short six-minute drive away and offers nearly 900,000 square feet of retail space anchored by Hudson’s Bay, Winners/Homesense and Walmart.
