On Friday, March 16, YUL Condominiums was awarded the Énergir prize for better use of natural gas at the 35th Domus Awards gala, held at the Montreal Casino. YUL Condominiums, which consists of two “shifted block” towers and 17 modern townhomes, was developed in partnership by the Briva Group and the Tianco Group.

“In addition to its contemporary architectural style, its innovative design, its state-of- the-art technological components and the quality of its materials, YUL also stands out for its choices in terms of energy efficiency, which are admittedly less visible to the naked eye but every bit as important for us and for our residents,” said Kheng Ly, president and chief executive officer of the Brivia Group and of YUL Condominiums.

YUL Condominiums was designed and produced by Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architectes, along with Stefano Domenici Architecte. Residents began occupying Phase One in September 2017, and construction of Phase Two is well underway. Studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units are still available, in addition to select penthouse suites and a four-storey townhome. Prices start from mid-$200,000s.

The contemporary condominium interiors are complete with nine foot ceilings, wide plank engineered flooring, frameless glass shower panels, fitted tubs, floor-to-ceiling windows, central air conditioning and electronic home automation systems.

“More than ever, real estate developers must innovate and design projects that reflect the principles of sustainable development. The use of natural gas is part of our forward-looking vision that aims at offering our residents a living environment that is based on comfort and is environmentally friendly,” said Steve Di Fruscia, chief executive officer of the Tianco Group.

Residents of YUL will enjoy access to social and recreational amenity spaces in both buildings. Tower Two houses a lounge overlooking the 23,000 square foot courtyard, several stylish dining rooms for hosting large gatherings, a sixth floor rooftop lounge and a welcoming two-storey lobby. Meantime, Tower One features a cloistered garden, indoor lap pool, outdoor Scandinavian spa, fully-equipped fitness room and 38th-floor “sky lounge.” All the common areas have been furnished exclusively by Armani/Casa.

Located at the corner of René-Lévesque Ouest and Mackay, YUL Condominiums is steps away from shopping and dining along Sainte-Catherine, the Bell Centre, Concordia University, McGill University and the Quartier des spectacles. The Lucien L’Allier metro station is a three minute walk from the entrance of YUL Condominiums, and the onramp to the Autoroute Ville-Marie is also nearby.
