Mixing old and new styles is key to designing an authentic space. Using her clients’ Baroque-style chandelier as a jumping off point, interior designer Cynthia Soda set about updating treasured heirlooms, including a now whitewashed armoire and a leopard-clad armchair. While the rest of the pieces were newly purchased, she sought ways to customize them — a tufted coffee table top to match the sofa, a sculptural gold and glass railing to brighten up a basement entryway. See how it all came together in this effortlessly chic living room and dining space, and don’t forget to watch part one, the modern glam kitchen remodel.
