If you made your way through Kensington Market in the 1950s, you’d still find a small neighbourhood full of local businesses — but you’d also see a lot less street art.

Over the decades, the market has evolved into a quirky space full of murals and local buskers. Back in the day, it was a place where locals could get their goods for the week ahead.
