An exclusive collection of restored townhomes is coming soon near downtown Vancouver. Heritage, by Formwerks Boutique Properties, entails the restoration of three heritage homes that will be revamped into 12 new townhomes.

Tucked alongside Shaughnessy mansions on tree-lined West 16th Avenue, the original homes were built at some point between 1913 to 1923. After being restored, the townhomes will offer contemporary living while honouring the neighbourhood’s historic roots. The spacious townhomes offer one- to four-bedroom layouts and range in size from 683 square feet to 2,270 square feet. All residences will be equipped with new foundations, plumbing, electrical and fire protection measures.

Using Formwerks’ very own architectural and interior design strategies, Heritage homes will exude a warm and classic aesthetic but have modern conveniences and features. The exteriors will be carefully restored to keep charming features of the heritage homes, including stained glass windows, cedar shingle siding, granite entry columns, porches and bay windows. In select homes, the front entrance door will also be kept.

Inside, two heritage-inspired colour schemes will be used throughout the residences to reflect the arts and crafts movement that was prevalent at the time of original construction. The homes will boast quality and durable materials, such as marble mosaic features, quartz countertops and engineered hardwood. Even though the homes contain historic elements, modern features will also be included, such as under-cabinet task lighting, radiant in-floor heating, gas stoves and alarm systems.

The homes are scheduled for completion in mid-2019. To learn more, register here for the latest details.
