A wrecking ball is on its way to the former Pontiac car dealership in downtown Orillia. The site will soon give way to Matchedash Lofts, an industrial-style five-storey residence with additional commercial and retail space at Mississaga Street.

On Friday, August 18th, Oakleigh will kick off demolition with a barbecue event for owners and prospective buyers. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4pm, and the festivities will include food and live entertainment.

Attendees are invited to tour the new sales centre, which was just delivered this week. Matchedash Lofts is now more than 50 per cent sold, but a wide selection of suites are still available, including loft style live/work, garden, sunset, and lakeview units. This is the last chance to take advantage of pre-construction pricing, and for a limited time, buyers will receive $2,500 worth of free upgrades.

Choose from one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom and two bedroom plus den condos with up to 1,750 square feet of living space. Prices of remaining units start from $329,900.

Defined by 9 to 11 foot ceilings, hardwood flooring, energy efficient stainless steel appliances, contemporary cabinetry and large factory-style windows, the interiors reflect a warm industrial aesthetic. Bathrooms are sleek and modern, with clear glass shower enclosures, ceramic tile surrounds, low-flow toilets and sparkling chrome accessories.

Be sure to RSVP for the Matchedash Lofts barbecue event on Facebook. The celebration will take place across the street from the former sales centre at 21 Matchedash Street South.
