Contractors in Brampton have started work at the future site of Origins, a brand new master-planned community sprouting at the southwest corner of Mayfield and Chinguacousy Roads.

Origins, the latest from experienced homebuilders OPUS Homes and DECO Homes, offers a selection of townhouses, single-family homes and semis, and it also brings a number of improvements to the area as well.

These include retailers, green space, a proposed school and even the complete restoration of the historic Monkman Family heritage house.

Such improvements will only make living in Brampton more convenient, as the burgeoning city just northwest of Toronto already boasts 9,000 acres of parkland and 25 community centres.

Not only that, but Brampton’s downtown core is only a short drive away, as are Bramalea City Centre, Trinity Common Mall, and a number of other retailers.

Origins is also well located for commutes to Toronto and the rest of the GTA. There are five 400-series highways nearby — including the 407 just down Chinguacousy from Origins — and public transit is easily accessible too via the Brampton GO Station.

Currently, the presentation centre at 8680 Chinguacousy Road is being renovated ahead of the community’s anticipated official fall launch.
