Toll Brothers City Living, the urban development division of Toll Brothers, recently received accolades for its Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park and 121 E 22nd developments in New York.

At this year’s Gold Nugget Awards ceremony, Pierhouse and 121 E 22nd were Grand Award recipients in the Best Mixed-Use Project and Best on the Board Multifamily Community, respectively. The top honors were presented as part of the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) in San Diego on June 29th.

Located in Gramercy Park, 121 E 22nd is the first residential building in Manhattan designed by the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), the renowned firm founded by Rem Koolhaas. The development houses 133 units, and offers a wealth of upscale amenities: a rooftop terrace with firepit and grill, private dining room and catering kitchen, and even an automated indoor parking system. Pricing starts at $1.5 million.

Pierhouse also claimed the National Grid Award for Energy Efficiency at the 2017 Building Brooklyn Awards that was held on July 13th at Hotel 1 Brooklyn Bridge. The annual awards ceremony is presented by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in order to recognize recently completed projects that enrich the borough’s neighborhoods and economy.

Pierhouse, which is expected to achieve a LEED Silver certification, boasts several energy-efficient features including rainwater irrigation systems, high-efficiency indoor and outdoor lighting and automatic solar shades in every home.

The development shared the honor with 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge — also developed by Toll Brothers City Living and Starwood Capital Group.
