Solmar Development Corp is now taking registrations for its upcoming Edge Towers community in Mississauga. The much anticipated residential project is located on the southwest corner of Hurontario Street and Elm Drive West, just steps away from the future Mississauga light rail transit (LRT) system.

While details are still emerging, initial renderings reveal three towers of varying heights, with the tallest reaching 50 storeys. The buildings boast similar styles, each with an elegant profile with staggered floor plates on higher floors, clean vertical lines and multi-level podiums at ground level. A total of 1,283 units is expected to be available when sales launch later this year. The development is also expected to include some mixed-use elements with street level retail and office space as well as a new neighbourhood park.

Situated at 26 Elm Drive West, residents of The Edge Towers will benefit from its ideal location within proximity to Mississauga’s vibrant city centre. The expansive Square One Shopping Centre is a quick 15 minute walk away and offers over 320 shops, service, dining and entertainment options. The retail complex is the largest mall in Ontario and is one of the GTA’s premier shopping destination with major anchors like Hudson’s Bay, Simons and Holt Renfrew. Also in the neighbourhood is the Art Gallery of Mississauga, Living Arts Centre, Celebration Square, Whole Foods and Mississauga City Hall.

Closer to home, residents will have easy access to the future Hurontario LRT right outside their doors. The ambitious infrastructure project is set to bring 20 kilometres of rapid transit service between Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario Street corridor. And with 22 stops planned — including one at Matthew’s Gate and Central Parkway — residents of Edge Towers will have easy connections to GO Transit’s Milton and Lakeshore West lines, Mississauga’s MiWay Transit and Brampton’s Züm bus.
