A new family-friendly community of townhouses in Smithville is offering an impressive array of limited-time upgrades for homebuyers.

At Stepping Stones, a 54-townhouse enclave nestled amid creeks, wooded lands and an existing neighbourhood, prices start from the mid-$400,000s, well below the average home price in closeby Hamilton.

But award-winning homebuilder Phelps Homes is making sure homebuyers get even more for their money at this addition to its Streamside on the Twenty community.

For a limited time, Phelps is offering free air conditioning, granite countertops with an undermount sink, stainless steel hood fan, up to $5,000 in free upgrade dollars and a $1,500 voucher for appliances from Goemans.

Of course, the community’s Smithville address itself already has a lot to offer homebuyers.

For one, commuting from Stepping Stones is convenient since Smithville is located off Highway 20 and near the QEW, with Centennial Parkway — and with it access to Highways 401, 403 and 407 — only a 15-minute drive away.

Just south of Grimsby and between Hamilton and Niagara Falls, Smithville is known as “The Hub of the Niagara.”

A one-time police village, Smithville continues to flourish as a number of recent investments have been made in this West Lincoln community.

A multi-million-dollar multi-use recreation site, including a community centre and arena, is being planned for West Lincoln, reports NiagaraThisWeek.com.

And this fall, St. Martin Catholic Elementary School is opening right across the street from Stepping Stones, adding to the list of nearby amenities that also includes big box shopping, restaurants and parks.
