Forest Creek, a new collection of towns and single-detached homes in a tranquil creek setting, has launched sales in Doon, a former village where the Doon and Grand rivers meet.

Homebuilder Aberdeen Homes has already opened a presentation centre at Forest Creek Drive, and for more information house shoppers can drop by from 4pm to 7pm on Mondays and Tuesdays or from noon to 4pm on weekends.

This community backs onto the wooded Tilts Bush, a natural pocket within the outskirts of Kitchener.

The setting provides ample access to the Great Outdoors, with a number of trails and acres of wooded lands to be discovered in the area.

A number of attractions, including the 60-acre Doon Heritage Village — “a living-history museum” showing what life in the area was like a century ago — at Waterloo Region Museum, aren’t far away from Forest Creek.

And the community is also close to the Highway 401, which provides easy access to surrounding municipalities.

Prices at Forest Creek begin at $599,000. These homes, which include 30-foot singles, feature distinct architectural details and range from 1,619 square feet up to 2,094 square feet, making them ideal family dwellings.

There are both three- and four-bedroom residences, and fine finishes such as quartz kitchen countertops and optional upgraded stained-wood stairs will be found throughout.

Aberdeen is a well-known builder of award-winning communities throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo area with experience stretching back three decades.
