Branthaven Homes has recently announced that its Lake House master-planned community in Grimsby is officially sold out. The sought-after community was an immediate success when it was launched in late 2015 with groups of prospective homebuyers camping out overnight for their spot in line. Following the launch, quick sales led to a ground breaking in spring 2016 attended by homebuyers, Branthaven President Steve Stipsits and Grimsby Mayor Bob Bentley. Today, the sales centre is now closed and construction is well underway!

Located at 480 Winston Road, the 17.5-acre waterfront development consists of two mid-rise condominiums and a collection of coastal-inspired townhomes. Scattered among the residences are resort-style amenities, commercial spaces and retail stores. The new development will also create a new main street along Winston Road allowing for easier access to nearby roads and highways as well as introduce a new retail corridor to the neighbourhood.

Residents of the condos will have their own set of on-site amenities including an elegant lobby and lounge area finished in rich natural wood and stone, as well as an outdoor pool area with lounge chairs and gazebos. Other amenities include a billiards room, private dining area with catering kitchen, an outdoor terrace and a well-equipped fitness room.

Making the most of its prime location, plans for Lake House include a sand beach with rock formations, a scenic waterfront trail and new parks and green spaces.

“The site is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us,” says Stipsits. “What sets Lake House apart from other so-called waterfront developments is its actual location directly abutting the shores — 17.5 acres of prime waterfront real estate. The site’s unusually wide strip of land and expansive
lake frontage is unprecedented and unmatched in the region.”

When construction is complete, the homes at Lake House will bring a unique architectural style and aesthetic to the neighbourhood and ensure for a dynamic streetscape.

The Shoreline collection, situated on the water’s edge, boasts a blend of classic Cape Cod styling with angled peaks and flared columns and shakes. Modern features include glass-paneled balconies, large picture windows and a fully finished walkout basement.

Homebuyers looking for a more contemporary feel chose the Waterside collection with its Craftsman-style siding and cedar shakes, while those with an entrepreneurial spirit gravitated towards the Village collection of homes situated above street level commercial spaces.

Although Lake House is now sold out, homes at Branthaven’s other communities are still available including Life Townhomes and Explore Towns. To learn more, visit branthaven.com.
