Mississauga will soon have two new additions to its skyline as developer Amacon breaks ground on the latest towers at Parkside Village. The groundbreaking event took place yesterday afternoon at the Parkside Village sales centre at 465 Burnhamthorpe Road West. The two towers of Block Nine are the sixth and seventh buildings in the master-planned community since the ambitious project launched in 2008.
“It feels like only yesterday — spring 2015 — when we were all standing here to welcome the launch of Block Nine, our 6th and 7th towers to the Parkside Village community,” said Stephanie Babineau, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Amacon. “It is a great achievement to be sold out of this project months prior to the commencement of construction and I’d like to thank the In2ition sales team for their hard work.”
When completed in 2018, Block Nine will house 602 units within a 25- and 34-storey tower. Designed by renowned interior designer Tanner Hill, the suites feature wide plank laminate wood floors, nine foot ceilings and textured berber carpet in the bedrooms and dens. The kitchens are finished with custom-designed contemporary cabinetry, square-edge granite countertops and chef-inspired stainless steel appliances.
The amenities are situated in the six-storey podium and include a fully-equipped fitness centre with yoga room, stylish party room and an indoor children’s play area. More amenities are found on the outdoor terrace which boasts a landscaped walking path, lounge area and an expansive barbecue lounge and dining area.
Residents of Block Nine will also benefit from an ideal location off Burnhamthorpe Road West. The neighbourhood is close to wealth of local amenities and services in Mississauga’s vibrant city centre. Sheridan College, Mississauga City Hall and Square One Shopping Centre are all within walking distance as well as GO Transit and MiWay bus service.
