Old homes have many charms, but typically, natural light and storage space do not rank among them. When designer Karin Bennett and her Lead Stylist Jaclyn Colville were hired to remodel the living and dining rooms for a family of four, the walls of the living area were painted a fiery red and the furniture arrangement didn’t flow. Plus, without a mud room, the family was struggling to keep the kids’ shoes and coats organized. With the help of multipurpose built-ins and well-proportioned furnishings, the team was able to create a bright and inviting space that’s fit for entertaining.
