Alabaster Homes’ Victorian-inspired Yukon Residences is set to start previewing this Saturday, March 25th. The new collection of exclusive townhomes in Marpole consists of 32 homes with a mix of three- and four-bedroom townhomes and one-, two- and three-bedroom single-level garden flats.
The sophisticated development, designed by the acclaimed Formwerks Architectural, fronts directly onto Winona Park and features Juliet balconies, rooftop decks with panoramic views of South Vancouver, embellished flower boxes and red brick with black metal detailing.
“There are not a lot of examples of Victorian architecture in Vancouver, so it’s a unique approach,” says Jim Bussey of Formwerks Architectural. “The cadence and the rhythm that you see here gives a tremendous amount of variety for the streetscape and the individuality for each suite,” he adds.
Inside the elegant townhomes and garden flats, interior designer Area3 creates a transitional design, pairing contemporary and traditional motifs. Yukon Residences feature classic elements such as detailed tile backsplashes, hardwood floors, crown mouldings and shaker-style beveled cabinetry, along with the modern convenience of European appliances and central heating and air conditioning.
“The kitchen backsplash is my favourite aspect of this project,” says Brenda Chiu, Co-Principal of Area3 Design. “It is a striking chevron-patterned natural stone that really is the focal point of the kitchen. When you walk into the room, you will feel the personality and character of the home really shine,” she adds.
The development will feature easy accessibility to all levels of parking, as an elevator will be available from the common courtyard. Side-by-side parking and secured private garages also are available.
Located within Cambie Corridor South, in the prestigious Westside, Yukon Residences is within the boundaries for top-ranked schools J.W. Sexsmith Elementary and International Baccalaureate School Sir Winston Churchill Secondary. The development is also minutes away from urban conveniences, including Marine Gateway — which is home to the Marine Drive Canada Line Station — Langara Golf Course, Cineplex Theatres, restaurants and shopping centres. The airport is a 10-minute drive away from Yukon Residences and, when the new station at Cambie Gardens is built, transit will only be two blocks away.
Yukon Residences is perfect for families and downsizers looking to live in a vibrant and central community. Previews start this Saturday at noon at the Alabaster Showroom located at Suite 301, 1788 W Broadway, Vancouver. To receive the latest updates, click here to register.
