Toronto-based developer Madison Group has partnered with Nobu Hospitality to launch the first Nobu-branded residences, hotel and restaurant in Canada. The highly anticipated mixed-use complex, that will include the Nobu Residences Toronto, will be located on Mercer Street, in the heart of the city’s Entertainment District.

A popular hotspot for international customers, celebrities and tastemakers, the Nobu brand has become synonymous with luxury, quality and fine dining. Since opening the first Nobu Hotel in Las Vegas in 2013, founders Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, have expanded internationally with operations now spanning five continents. From Manila to London and Los Cabos to Bahrain, Nobu properties have become a top travel and lifestyle destination.

“I cannot think of a singular place that has a more unique and impassioned sensibility than Nobu,” said Josh Zagdanski, Vice President-High-Rise, Madison Group. “You see it in every nuance of its operation — from bespoke hotel suites to tranquil residences and dining experiences that make you say, ‘I could live here’. We couldn’t be prouder to be working with the team at Nobu Hospitality to give residents and visitors the chance to live with that feeling in Toronto.”

The 49-storey project will consist of two bronze towers designed by award-winning Teeple Architects with interiors by the renowned Studio Munge. The design of the towers fuses together a modern aesthetic with unique architectural details through the use of historical facades from the Pilkington Glass Factory which has stood on the site at 15 Mercer Street since the late 1800s.

A total of 700 residential units will welcome new homeowners with suites that offer luxurious living spaces, superior craftsmanship and exquisite features and finishes. Residents will also have access to state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor amenities including ground floor commercial retail, flexible private social function and meeting space, a fully-equipped fitness centre and ‘Zen Garden’ outdoor terrace.

Inside the west tower, Nobu Hotel Toronto boasts an exclusive collection of luxurious guest suites complete with panoramic views of the city. Along with unparalleled accommodations and services, Nobu will introduce Chef Matsuhisa’s world renowned “new style” Japanese fusion cuisine to the city at Nobu Restaurant Toronto. Situated inside the Nobu Hotel, the 15,000-square-foot restaurant will feature two levels, a signature bar lounge, outdoor seating and chic private dining rooms.

“For many years we have searched for the perfect opportunity within Toronto to create a true luxury lifestyle destination befitting the acclaimed global city of Toronto and our international brand,” said Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality. “We are truly excited to announce Nobu Residences, Hotel and Restaurant Toronto which we are crafting to be a game changer in residential living in Toronto and beyond.”

Pre-construction sales of Nobu Residences Toronto will commence summer 2017. To learn more about the development, be sure to register online.
