Ateliers Castelnau, a new condo development by DevMcGill, mixes historic architecture with contemporary design to create the perfect blend of past and present in Mile-Ex. The development is set to launch on March 23rd with the opening of its sales gallery at 65 de Castelnau West Street.

Beautiful street art, cafes, nightlife and restaurants combine to make this vibrant borough a hub of activity. Restaurant Mile-Ex, Alexandraplatz and Dinette Triple Crown are just a few examples of the many restaurants and bars that showcase the area’s unique culture. From Little Italy to Marché Jean Talon, Mile-Ex is close to an abundance of cultural hotspots with little travel time.

Ateliers Castelnau will be built in a preserved historic building where shoemaking, carpentry, printing, sewing, forging and painting workshops were offered since 1920. It is located adjacent to the Beaux Arts-style building that sheltered the “Institut des Sourds-Muets de Montréal” but now houses the Castelnau condominium project from a few years ago.

Consisting of 310 units, Ateliers Castelnau will be built using sustainable construction processes and local material choices. It will also offer bicycle storage, repair station and a multifunctional space for DIY projects such as crafting, painting, pottery and gardening. Residents can use the workstation to unleash their creativity and are encouraged to bring their own materials and tools.

DevMcGill has won several industry awards, including Builder of the Year, Environment and Energy Efficiency Award LEED Silver as well as the Montreal Architectural Heritage Award.

The development is currently in the preconstruction phase. For more information, potential buyers are encouraged to visit the sales gallery at 65 Castelnau Street West, opening March 23rd, or register online at
