Stanley Condos is one step closer to becoming a reality as developer Tribute Communities celebrated its official groundbreaking last week. The on-site presentation centre was moved to a new location at 297 College Street last month as crews began to prepare the site for construction. Standing in front of the original presentation centre, President and CEO Al Libfeld stood alongside members of the Tribute team and project partners with shovels in hand for the ceremonial event.
“Today we’re breaking ground for a project we call Stanley. It’s a great project that’s in a great neighbourhood adjacent to Maple Leaf Gardens,” said Libfeld. “I want to thank my partners first of all. I couldn’t have done it without you, and I want to thank my team who have been unbelievable to get us to this point.”
Slated for completion in January 2019, the 37 storey tower will boast a very modern and unique exterior architecture envisioned by the renowned Core Architects. The design features a curvilinear tower with undulating glass and wraparound balconies that will rise from a stunning seven-storey light-filled glass podium.
Inside, the 471 suites were designed by Toronto interior designer Bryon Patton & Associates and feature open concept living spaces with large windows, expansive balconies and designer features and finishes. Priced from $318,990, the remaining suites at Stanley are available in a variety of layouts from studios to three bedrooms.
Residents of Stanley will have over 16,000 square feet of hotel-inspired amenities available including a 24-hour concierge, fully-equipped fitness centre with cardio room, weight room and yoga studio. There’s also a club lounge, guest suites and an 8,000 square foot outdoor terrace with a sun deck, zen garden and barbecue area.
Located on the corner of Church Street and Carlton Street, residents will also be steps away from a wide array of shops, services and entertainment venues within the neighbourhood. Walk across the street and you’ll find the historic Maple Leaf Gardens, now home to an 85,000-square-foot Loblaws. Or, head up Church Street and take in the distinctive culture and energy of the Village filled with lively bars, trendy cafes and popular restaurants.
