Launched last summer, St. Lawrence Condominiums is a contemporary new residence coming soon to downtown Toronto’s historic St. Lawrence neighbourhood. Designed by Peter Clewes of architectsAlliance, the 26 storey two-tower complex features an eye-catching exterior with a bold stacked design marked by sharp lines and a geometric facade.
Located at 132 Front Street East, just west of the project site, the impressive new sales gallery is situated inside a former furniture and lighting store. Beyond the small storefront facade is an expansive and open showroom with a seating area, scale model and office spaces.
A ramp leads to another large communal area with a kitchen, multiple video displays and sample boards of available finishes. Towards the rear of the sales gallery, visitors can see those finishes up close and on display inside a fully furnished two bedroom model suite.
Boasting 742 square feet of living space, suite ‘2BD-14’ is a thoughtfully designed corner unit with large spans of glass, spacious living areas, and a master bedroom with ensuite. The foyer includes a large closet for storage, and the first of two full size bathrooms.
Rounding the corner, visitors are greeted with a bright and open living, dining and kitchen area as well as a cozy inset balcony. When the building is complete, residents of this particular model will enjoy stunning west facing views through large floor-to-ceiling windows.
Overlooking the living and dining area, the kitchen was designed to maximize space with plenty of storage cabinets and drawers. Characterized by a warm and neutral palette, the designers chose light-coloured cabinets, accented by a dramatic hexagonal tile backsplash and an elegant grey granite countertop. The floors feature a dark stained wide plank laminate which adds some contrast. Kitchens also come standard with an undermount sink, 24-inch stainless steel range, dishwasher and microwave.
In the dining room, a modern, glass topped table seats four and is topped by a matching chandelier, while the adjacent living room provides ample space for entertaining. For a customized look, the designers added a feature wall and media centre with extra storage space, a wall-mounted television and white floating shelves for decorative accessories.
Residents of The St. Lawrence will be able to enjoy a wide array of on-site amenities such as a stylish rooftop terrace and party room, Movement Haus fitness centre with cardio and weight training equipment and a rooftop pool. Other amenities include a billiards lounge, guest suites, home theatre and a library lounge.
Local amenities are also just steps away with the countless bars, restaurants, shops, and services dotting the area. In addition, with a neighbourhood rich in history and nearby attractions like the St. Lawrence Market, The Gooderham Building, Air Canada Centre and Sugar Beach, there’s no shortage of things to do.
