On Oakville’s sparkling waterfront, a new mixed-use condo community from a trio of experienced developers is in the works.
Once complete, the appropriately named Lake & East will rise 20 storeys and include 140 residences and over 7,000 square feet of retail.
These residences will range from 535 square feet to 1,745 square feet, with prices starting in the low-$300,000s and going up to over $1 million for select units. All include upscale touches as well, such as wide-plank finished wood floors throughout, custom-designed bathroom cabinetry and stainless steel kitchen appliances.
The development boasts a number of amenities including a yoga/pilates/dance space, a fully equipped fitness centre, library, entertainment room with kitchenette, TV and table tennis, and an exterior landscaped mezzanine featuring barbecue stations, loungers and community gardens as well as a rooftop access space and a terrace.
For the project’s design, the builders have hired the award-winning Winnipeg firm 5468795 Architecture. Early renderings show a high-rise with a shimmering glass facade that’s traced with greenery, which is fitting given the surrounding area abounds with green space.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park, Fourteen Mile Creek Lands and, perhaps most famously, Glen Abbey, are all minutes away.
Of course, with commercial retail space planned for Lake & East’s podium and downtown Oakville not far away, urban amenities will also be easily accessible for future residents.
The project’s location also puts it close to a unique amenity and makes commuting to Toronto or Mississauga easy, too.
Located within the highly desired Bronte Harbour neighbourhood, Lake and East offers its residents almost immediate access to the Bronte Harbour Marina, as well as convenient connection to the Bronte GO Station and the QEW.
