Musician Steve Miller’s psychedelic song “Fly Like an Eagle” hit number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart during the week of March 12, 1977, bested only by “Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born)” by Barbra Streisand.
According to Bloomberg news, Miller’s home hit the market at a cool $16.8 million dollars this week. That price includes a recording studio, a small amphitheater, a Japanese-style hot tub and a host of other rock star-friendly amenities.
Perhaps most interestingly, the home only includes two bedrooms, yet has five bathrooms. Maybe in a 12,000-square-foot home it’s arduous to travel around on a full bladder.
If you have been busy sailing the world on a giant yacht, you’re in luck. Miller’s home comes equipped with a 360-foot deepwater dock, where his yacht “Abracadabra” was once moored.
Because the San Juans are far from Seattle and only accessible by ferry or private plane, the home is a relative bargain compared to what someone might pay for a similar property in, say, the Hamptons.
