One thing buyers often have to sacrifice with condo ownership is private outdoor space, at least of the type most low-rise homes provide. Not so with Penthouse 6 at Hazelton Lanes. The suite doesn’t only boast over 1,700 square feet of secluded space under the sky — not unheard of for a penthouse — it’s also landscaped, giving it the appearance of a backyard, but with the views from a mid-rise perch.

9. 50 Yorkville Ave., Suite 3603, Annex — $5,399,000


At $5,399,000, Suite 3603 is the cheapest of three units at the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel and Residences by Lifetime Developments and Menkes Developments Ltd. to make our list. 5. 180 University Avenue, Suite 6002, Bay Street Corridor — $9,000,000


This high-rise home is known as the “Celebrity Suite,” and that’s fitting. If you can afford the multi-million-dollar two-floor condo in the Shangri-La by Westbank, it’s unlikely you keep a low profile. While it has the requisite private terraces and ensuites that are givens at this price point, there is one finish that can’t be found anywhere else: a massive (roughly 20-foot-tall) painting of an ancient Roman athlete by contemporary Italian artist Alessandro Bianchi.
