With Oakville Mayor Rob Burton on hand, Mattamy Homes put shovels to soil this month as it broke ground at The Residences of Creekshore Common, a boutique condo community coming to the lakeside town.

“This unique, vibrant new community is the kind of addition to our town that all Oakville residents stand to benefit from,” said Burton.

With The Residences of CreekShore Common, the award-winning builder wanted to raise the bar for architecture in North Oakville, said Jill Lalonde, Mattamy’s VP of sales and marketing for its Halton/Hamilton division.

“We wanted to create something unique, and engage the future Dundas Urban Corridor in a bold manner, setting a precedent for future development,” she added.

The first rendering of Creekshore Common, which is located west of Sixth Line on Dundas Street East’s north side, shows a four-storey residence with distinct modern architecture. Its geometric facade combines charcoal and white treatments and is traced with colourful accents.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows punctuate these finishes, and will ensure that suites of all sizes — which range from 925 to 1,188 square feet — will be bathed in natural light.

Suites will also feature high-end finishes including granite kitchen counters, nine-foot ceilings (penthouse ceilings soar to 14 feet in the living room), large balconies, patios, and terraces (as per plan), and style-forward pendant lighting.

Each suite’s spacious master bedroom will boast enough space for a king-size bed, a walk-in closet and double-sink ensuite with glass shower.

Outside units, residents will find amenities such as a fitness centre, pet spa, and lounge. An expansive rooftop terrace, complete with barbecues for residents, will crown The Residences of Creekshore Common, which is nestled between the tranquil waters of two large ponds.

Mattamy Homes is the largest privately owned homebuilder on the continent, and its portfolio includes close to 5,000 homes across 13 communities in Oakville alone.

The Residences of Creekshore Common marks the developer’s first mid-rise project in the area. Prices begin at $405,990 and go up to over $510,990. Occupancy is projected for summer 2017.
