There are thousands of fabric swatches lining the aisles of the Robert Allen showroom in Toronto’s Annex neighborhood. For the average person, sorting through such a huge selection of upholstery fabrics can be overwhelming, and often leaves us scratching our heads at words like “double rub count”, “fabric repeat” or “grade.” We asked interior designer Kate Davidson of Kate Davidson Design Inc. for some expert tips on finding the fabric that’s right for your furniture.
