Located at 545 Wilson Avenue in North York, The Station Condos is the neighbourhood’s newest landmark consisting of two modern SMV Architects-designed glass towers joined by a brick-clad podium. Just steps from Wilson subway station and a few minutes from Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the 388-unit residence by Brandy Lane Homes, the Wise Group of Companies, and Shiplake Management Company has been a success with prospective homebuyers for its desirable location and impressive amenities.

BuzzBuzzHome News is no stranger to this development as we’ve been documenting its progress in our regular Dig to Done series since the start of construction in 2012. We weren’t kidding when we said we were in it for the long haul after completing the inaugural edition back in September 2012. Twenty nine editions later, we’re happy to announce that The Station Condos by Brandy Lane Homes is officially done!

To celebrate the completion of construction, we visited The Station last week for a final tour of the building, amenities and suites.

The Station_Roundabout

Starting on the exterior, the grounds surrounding the building have all been sodded and most of the landscaping is now complete including the roundabout in the front courtyard.


A focal point of the landscape plan is the public art that was chosen through a juried selection process and created by Toronto artist, Clare Scott-Taggart. Situated on the north east corner of the site facing Wilson Avenue, “Watson’s Dream” is a 20-foot sculpture consisting of a highly magnified and stylized DNA molecule strand comprised of different sized stainless steel spheres. Named after the scientist who first described the structure of DNA, the molecular balls represent the diverse group of people who live within the existing community as well as the new residents that The Station brings.

The Station_Lobby

Over on the ground floor, the two-storey, art deco-inspired lobby is looking clean and sharp with shiny stone floors, marble tiled walls, and the building’s concierge now stationed in the central desk area. The large common space also has two furnished seating areas on opposite sides of the concierge desk. Down the hall from the lobby will be a collection of convenient retail spaces including a medical clinic, hair dresser, and convenience store.

Since our last visit in December, more residents have moved into their new homes and although the project is nearly sold out there’s still a great selection of units available including a two bedroom corner unit and seven penthouse suites.

The Station_C1B

The 1,050 square foot C1B suite is situated on the northwest corner of the building and features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den and a 113-square-foot balcony.

The U-shaped kitchen offers plenty of storage and cooking space and comes equipped with a stainless steel appliance package, granite countertops, and under-cabinet lighting. Overlooking the kitchen is a spacious dining area and living room with high ceilings and large, bright windows that open onto the balcony. The balcony is also accessible through the master bedroom which features two walls of windows, a large closet and luxurious three-piece ensuite.

Residents of The Station will also have exclusive access to the development’s collection of in-house amenities on the seventh floor Studio Club. Designed with rest, relaxation and entertainment in mind, the impressive amenity level features a well-equipped fitness centre, steam rooms, games room, and multiple party rooms.

The Station_Urbana

Facing the south end of the city, looking towards downtown, the one-of-a-kind Urbana lounges can be reserved for parties and other social gatherings. Designed by Lukas Design Interiors, the Urbana’s are fully furnished and come equipped with flat-screen TVs and a walk-out to a heated barbecue terrace.

For larger gatherings, the main party room boasts a full size kitchen and bar, dining tables, a spacious living area with flat screen TV and a killer sound system. It’s also connected to an outdoor dining terrace and lounge for even more entertaining space.

Of course all this is just steps away from the stylish infinity-edge oasis pool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the surrounding city views.

Now that construction is complete, the sales office has been relocated within the building on the 11th floor east tower in unit 1103E. To learn more about remaining suites be sure to visit during regular business hours Monday to Wednesday from 12pm to 6pm and weekends from 12pm to 5pm.
