Last weekend’s grand opening event at The Leveson drew more than 300 people as Vancouver homebuyers exhibited a more-than-healthy demand for new luxury condos at non-luxury prices.
At The Leveson, junior one-bedroom homes are priced from the mid $300,000s, one-bedroom floorplans start in the low $400,000s, two-bedroom suites begin in the mid $500,000s, two-bedroom plus flex/den homes start from the mid $600,000s, and penthouse suites are priced from the low $700,000s.
And those price points become even more attractive when you take into account the recent changes the BC government made to the property transfer tax (PTT). Under the new rules which took effect February 17th, any buyer that purchases a newly built home valued at up to $750,000 is exempt from paying the PTT. This translates into savings of up to $13,000.
Couple that with The Leveson‘s desirable home features — spacious and opens layouts, engineered hardwood flooring, premium finishes and kitchens that were designed for cooks — and you can see why there’s already been such a high demand for the homes.
