After a successful preview opening for pre-registrants last fall, Nautique Lakefront Residences will officially open to the public this Saturday, February 6th at 12pm. The much anticipated development by Burlington-based Adi Development Group has been a popular choice for homebuyers looking for sophisticated, maintenance free living with all the amenities. And though the project is already 75 per cent sold, guests at this weekend’s grand opening will still have a wide selection of floorplans to choose from ranging in size from 452 square feet to 1,316 square feet.

BuzzBuzzHome News visited the presentation centre earlier this week to get a sneak peek at the project and to tour the beautifully decorated model suite.

Located at 375 Brant Street, just east of the project site, the presentation centre is in the heart of the Brant Street commercial strip, steps from the waterfront.

“We took up some commercial space right on the Brant Street strip which is one of the most charming little strips in the city,” said Tariq Adi, CEO of Adi Developments. “You can clearly see the water from this location as well as feel the vibe of the downtown area and experience what living down there is truly going to be like.”

Step inside and you’re immediately greeted with a bright and elegant reception area finished with white marble floors which lead into the main showroom. There you’ll find a scale model that reveals a sleek and modern 24 storey tower designed by RAW Design.

Characterized by its glass curtain, art-inspired podium and wraparound balconies that zig zag their way up the facade, the contemporary profile will be a bold addition to the Burlington waterfront. The blue-tinted glass was specifically chosen to reflect the blue hues of the sky and lake into the building’s rectangular grid facade creating a sense of depth in the neighbourhood.

“Our main focus was to bring a sophisticated, world-class quality design to downtown Burlington, said Adi. “We wanted a facade that’s sleek and long yet remains understated and elegant.”

At the base of the building is a four storey podium which houses the building’s above grade parking garage. The project has a total of 8 levels of parking with four underground and four above grade, due to the city’s parking requirements. To ensure the podium achieves the same level of style and sophistication as the tower, RAW has transformed the project’s parking garage with a unique design and patterned facade. The eye-catching interplay of grey and white glass is broken up by perforated panels and slit lighting that highlights the facade at night.

“We wanted to accommodate the parking requirements but not dig all the way to the centre of the earth,” said Adi. “We didn’t want to just have an ugly parking lot so we got creative and dressed it up with architectural panels and lighting for a cool animated facade.”

Situated just above the podium is the development’s outdoor amenity terrace. The impressive space boasts an outdoor pool, barbecue area, and a luxurious lounge with retractable nanowalls for alfresco dining and lounging during the warmer months.

A second amenity space is located on the 18th floor offering 360-degree views of Lake Ontario and surrounding areas. This exquisite common space is ideal for hosting cocktail parties, unwinding in the fireside lounge or enjoying a good book in the library. Other amenities include a private lakeside club, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and ground floor retail spaces.

Attendees at this weekend’s grand opening will also be able to tour a fully-furnished model suite designed by internationally renowned interior design team Cecconi Simone. The 576-square-foot Norte is a spacious one-bedroom plus den with an open concept, flowing floorplan with plenty of storage and living space.

The smart layout splits the space in two with the main living areas including the den, kitchen and living room on one side, while the other half consists of the master suite complete with two closets and access to the bathroom. An expansive 100-square-foot balcony accessible through the living room completes the space and spans the width of the unit.

The suite also features a unique barn door that opens the bedroom up to the living room allowing for a much larger and open living space. The door slides on tracks allowing for a large 14-foot opening between the bedroom and living room and is perfect for watching TV in bed.
