A one-of-a-kind development is coming to The Beach, Toronto’s desirable east-end neighbourhood just off the sandy shores of Lake Ontario.

This Saturday, the sales centre for Heartwood — The Beach, a six-storey boutique condo community, opens at 1pm at 1919 Queen Street East, just east of Woodbine, signaling the arrival of this landmark residence to the area.

Heartwood The Beach offers an exclusive collection of 37 suites which will be constructed with durable cross-laminated timber (CLT), a material that is not only sustainable (it contributes zero greenhouse gases to the environment) but also provides aesthetic beauty.

Every unit will boast exposed CLT-wood ceilings and wood columns. Meanwhile, a feature CLT-wood wall in each suite will create a warm atmosphere and ensure each one is unique, as no two trees are exactly alike.

Porcelain tiles treated to look like wood will line every terrace in the building, matching up with interior treatments, so when a unit’s glass doors slide open, the living space appears — and in fact is — much larger.

The variety of layouts for suites at Heartwood — The Beach reflects this originality, with 14 different floorplans available.

The development will be anchored by retail space at grade, resulting in a building that is fully integrated with the surroundings area which is dotted with cafes, boutiques and restaurants.
