VANDYK Group of Companies is bringing a new mid-rise community anchored by a bustling retail strip to South Etobicoke.

Located at the tree-lined corner of Berry Road and Stephen Drive, Backyard Neighbourhood Condos will overlook the winding Humber River and sprawling, wooded South Humber Park that flanks the community to the east. From its green roof, residents will be able to take in sweeping vistas of High Park and the downtown core’s skyline beyond.

Green space aside, the community will be flush with urban conveniences, beginning with the master-plan’s own first phase, The Shoppes at Stonegate, the commercial development set to form the foundation of Backyard Neighbourhood Condos.

The Shoppes at Stonegate is one of four phases planned for the future mixed-use site. Other phases will bring more than 500 residential condo units to the area, starting with The Humberside, a six-storey boutique condo building of classic brickwork and modern glass.

While the community will bridge the benefits of city and village lifestyles, Toronto’s downtown core is easily accessible via the nearby Lakeshore Boulevard and Gardiner Expressway, making commutes to the major job centre a breeze.

Prices at Backyard Neighbourhood Condos are starting in the mid-$200,000 range. An exclusive preview opening is scheduled for this spring 2016 where all floorplans and price lists will be available. To receive an invitation for the preview, register online.

Ahead of this reveal, Backyard Neighbourhood Condos is giving those interested the chance to win a classically styled $5,000 e-bike from Californian manufacturer Vintage Electric Bikes.

Entering the contest is easy: following @backyardcondos on Instagram and post a photo on the social media channel of your fondest backyard memory using the hashtag #mybackyardcontest.
