On the day she dropped the controversial music video for her latest single “Formation,” Beyoncé was kicking back in this $10,000/night Airbnb rental. The next day she upstaged Coldplay during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in attire reminiscent of the Black Panthers. It was a bold, brave performance and we don’t blame her for wanting to rest in luxury beforehand.

According to her Facebook page, she had a “Super weekend” in the net-zero energy Los Altos Hills 11-acre rental property.

The five bedroom home boasts an infinity pool, spa, outdoor fitness center, fruit tree orchard, rooftop vegetable garden and views that span from San Francisco to Silicon Valley. Indeed, Queen Bey lived like royalty on this stay.

As The Verge reported, $10,000 for a one-night stay in a $50 million mansion is actually a reasonable price considering the monthly mortgage would be around $250,000.

As Jesmyn Ward wrote for NPR: “She sings to those of us who grew up black in the American South, who swam through Hurricane Katrina, who watched the world sink… for those of who write our stories or sing our songs about the South, who are told over and over that there is no audience for our art.”
