Later this month, construction will get underway on the second building of Streetside Developments‘ Crossroads of Rutherford community in Southwest Edmonton. This is good news for home hunters as the first building is down to its final homes.

Those looking for a new home now will be happy to note that the limited number of homes still available in building one are move-in ready and include award-winning one-bedroom plus den floorplans available from only $1,279 a month all-in (price includes mortgage, condo fees and taxes).

Interior features at Crossroads of Rutherford include bright, open living spaces; wide suite entry doors; textured ceilings; premium-quality cabinets with post formed Formica or Arborite countertops; full appliance packages; full-size washer and dryer; sound attenuation between suites; Customflor/Congoleum or equal no-wax flooring in the main living areas and high performance carpet with underlay in the bedrooms; generous ceilings and large windows.

The building itself boasts elevators, a security system with card access and intercom, professional landscaping, park access, airy hallways and common areas, heated underground parking and an indoor car washing facility.

The first building of Crossroads of Rutherford has already received a handful of industry awards, including Best Multi-Family Apartment under $350,000 for the “Fairbanks” show suite (pictured above), and Best Multi-Family Apartment Style under $250,000 for “The Hopkins” show suite. In fact, StreetSide Edmonton was named Alberta’s Multi-Family Builder of the Year by CHBA, thanks in large part to the big wins at Crossroads of Rutherford.

Residents will also benefit from the prime Southwest Edmonton location, situated next to a large park with playgrounds, walking trails, forested land and Monsignor Fee Otterson School. Future neighbourhood amenities include the new Roberta MacAdams kindergarten to grade six school — scheduled to open in September 2016 — and the planned schools in nearby Allard and Chappelle, which are set to open in September 2017. The community also enjoys easy access to the new Highway 2 interchange at 41st Avenue SW, giving residents better access than ever to major transportation links.

To learn more about the final homes in building number one — or the soon-to-be-released homes in building two — visit the Crossroads of Rutherford sales centre and show suites at 1820 Rutherford Road SW. Hours of operation are 3pm to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and from 12pm to 5pm on the weekends and holidays (closed Fridays).
