A wet and windy Saturday morning didn’t stop prospective homebuyers from getting a first look at the highly anticipated Sonic Condos. While the official grand opening isn’t scheduled until early in the new year, those who registered online were invited to the presentation centre on November 21st for a sneak peak at the scale model, interactive displays and model suite.

The first phase of the two-tower community by Lindvest is a modern 28-storey tower with 320 suites, designed by the award-winning Page + Steele IBI Group Architects. A second tower, situated opposite of the first, is scheduled for a future release, as well as a collection of townhomes on the southeast corner of the site.

Located at 18 Ferrand Drive, just south of Eglinton Avenue, Sonic Condominiums is close to an exciting array of urban amenities, including the Shops at Don Mills, Real Canadian Superstore, the Ontario Science Centre, Aga Khan Museum and Flemingdon Park Golf Course. Residents of Sonic will have convenient access to the future Don Mills Station of the Eglinton Crosstown, in addition to major thoroughfares like Don Mills Road, Eglinton Avenue, and the DVP.

“It’s a fantastic location at a major city hub, which is poised for incredible growth,” said Joseph Alberga, Director of Sales and Marketing at Lindvest.

“Steps away from the upcoming Metrolinx Eglinton Crosstown Station, and next door to the DVP, it makes it an unbelievable opportunity to be well connected to the downtown core and all Toronto has to offer, minus the congestion.”

Crafted by renowned interior design firm U31, the suites at Sonic feature open-concept spaces with 8’6” smooth finished ceilings, plank laminate floors, and contemporary kitchens with custom cabinetry and straight edge quartz countertops. A 24 or 30 inch stainless steel appliance package is also standard, depending on the floorplan.

When completed in 2019, residents will have access to over 25,000 square feet of amenities, including a well-equipped fitness centre, yoga studio, steam rooms, screening/music room, hobby room and a guest suite for overnight visitors. Other amenities include a concierge, party room, pet spa, and an impressive rooftop terrace complete with barbecues, dining lounge, fire pit, cabanas and sunning lounge.

The amenity space extends to the outdoors, with a professionally landscaped neighbourhood park. Designed by award-winning landscape architecture and urban design firm NAK Design Strategies, the extensive greenspace will feature a walking path, exercise equipment, a children’s play area, water features, and plenty of seating areas for rest and relaxation.

Suites at Sonic Condos start from the low $200,000s and are available in a variety of layouts, from cosy studios to family-friendly three bedroom suites.
