bside leaf-compressed Minto is well known for its green building practices, but at this weekend’s Bside at Minto Westside VIP preview event attendees were greeted by a 100 percent electric, zero emissions car — which they could then own for free.

Those who purchased a condo with a parking space equipped with an EV charging station received a free Nissan LEAF, the world’s best-selling electric car. “So far we’ve had about 20 buyers take advantage of the incentive, which is fantastic,” said Amanda Wilson Watkins, Vice President, Marketing & Sales for Minto Group. “In addition to that, we’ve had several buyers who already own an electric car who were interested in moving to Bside because we offer the electric car parking.”

model-compressed Attendees gathered around the Minto Westside architectural model and browsed the wide selection of studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom floorplans. “We’ve introduced some new floorplans in phase two [Bside], but we’ve also kept some of our more popular floorplans from the first tower. We’re offering the best of both worlds,” said Wilson-Watkins.

floorplans-compressed Minto Westside, located at the corner of Front and Bathurst, is just a short walk from the waterfront, Billy Bishop Airport, Entertainment District and West Queen West. The two-tower, master-planned community will offer exceptional social and recreational amenities, including outdoor courtyards, party rooms, a rooftop pool and Movement Haus Gym.

“Construction is slated to start in April of 2016, so it’s right around the corner,” said Wilson-Watkins. Available units at Bside are priced from the low $200,000s.

food truck-compressed Before leaving the event, we stopped by the Original Chimneys food truck, which was serving up complimentary Hungarian pastries that are baked over a rotisserie grill, and then topped or filled with ingredients such as Nutella, cinnamon sugar, shredded coconut and apple jam. It made for a sweet ending to yet another successful Minto Westside sales event.
