55w17-exterior_1800 On October 28th, Toll Brothers City Living held an intimate reception at the 55 West 17th Street on-location sales gallery, giving guests a peek at the gallery’s sleek detailing and architectural plans.

Guests also were able to witness firsthand how the 53-unit boutique development celebrates the vibe and history of the Chelsea neighborhood, while simultaneously providing market-leading contemporary luxury.

The building’s design by Morris Adjmi was inspired by the architecture of the Ladies’ Mile Historic District and features handmade, richly textured brickwork and architectural metal accents.

Units are available in one- to four-bedroom layouts, with oversized windows that maximize natural light. The open concept living spaces feature wide-plank oak flooring to maximize visual space and were designed with hosting in mind.

High-end appliances and finishes invoke a sense of luxury without over-embellishing. Kitchens offer Gaggenau appliances, black oak custom cabinets, Bianco Oro marble countertop and backsplash, a wine refrigerator and Kohler sink with Dornbracht faucet. The effect is an open concept with plenty of room for prep and entertaining.

The spa-inspired master bathrooms are designed to feel spacious. They include generously-sized bathtubs with separate showers, black oak custom cabinetry, Bianco Dolomiti marble walls and floors, Bianco Carrara marble feature walls, and white Carrara marble vanity top and backsplash.
