In September 2015, Fortress Real Developments opened the doors to a million-dollar presentation centre for SkyCity Centre. Since then, hundreds of nterested homebuyers have browsed floorplans, toured the fully-furnished model suite and viewed an eight-foot scale model of the landmark tower. Opening weekend brought a lineup around the block and over 60 units were sold to VIP purchasers. Following the public opening, there are now over 100 units sold, totaling over $30 million dollars in sales, with several more promotional events planned before the holidays.

“We knew that if we took the time to design something iconic and really understand what the demand is in this market, we would see the response like to we do in all major cities,” said Fortress CEO Jawad Rathore in a release. “The location of this site coupled with the design make it the premier address in the city, and one that will be desirable for years to come.”

The 45-storey project boasts 388 residential units and over 30,000 square feet of amenities — everything from a fitness facility to indoor and outdoor lounges — exclusively available to residents.

Susan Joshi, a SkyCity sales representative, notes the project holds special appeal to local investors.

“The smaller units have sold extremely well, with purchasers expecting to achieve record-setting rents in what we believe will be the most exciting community to live in, in Winnipeg.” said Joshi.

Within the podium of the building, there will be 60,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail.
