Located in Toronto’s east end, Leslieville is has emerged as one of the city’s hippest places to live. The area has attracted the attention of homebuyers and developers alike with its vibrant arts scene, trendy restaurants, boutique shops and convenient access to public transit.
One of the area’s newest developments is One6Nine Jones, which just hosted its official public launch earlier this week. BuzzBuzzHome News dropped by the sales office just before the grand opening for an exclusive sneak peek.
The project by Lifestyle Custom Homes offers a collection of 12 modern luxury townhomes designed by Open Architects Inc. The homes feature sophisticated and contemporary exteriors with insulated double-glazed aluminium-framed windows, professionally landscaped grounds and an inviting courtyard entrance.
Units range in size from 1,300 square feet to 2,400 square feet and boast open-concept layouts, high end finishes and outdoor spaces that include landscaped backyards or rooftop terraces with views of the city. And, with gas and water connections built in, these large outdoor spaces can easily become an extension of your living area.
Residents will also benefit from a long list of standard features and finishes that include engineered hardwood floors, custom-designed kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, quartz countertops and a central vacuum rough-in. A stainless steel appliance package with refrigerator, slide-in gas stove, dishwasher and an over-the-range microwave hood fan combination is also included.
If that’s not enough to get you into the sales centre, the developer also hired Invent Dev Inc., a Toronto-based interactive studio, to design and operate an Oculus Rift virtual reality tour for prospective homebuyers. The state-of-the-art headset allows visitors to tour one of the floorplans in an immersive 3D environment. Not only will they be able to walk around the suite, but they can also visualize how the different finish options or upgrades will look in their homes.
“With virtual reality, a customer can put on the headset and actually feel like they’re inside the home,” said David Payne, CEO of Invent Dev Inc. “They can walk around, look around, explore and fully understand the layout and dimensions and even see the different finish options with the click of a button.”
