Lenny Kravitz is seemingly good at everything he does — sporting an oversized scarf, starring as Cinna in the Hunger Games film series, designing a 10,000 square foot amenity space at Toronto’s Bisha Hotel and Residences and now, creating a collection of furniture and housewares for CB2.

The rockstar-turned-interior designer founded his firm, Kravitz Design, in 2003 and has worked on a variety of commercial and residential projects. His CB2 line features tables, chairs, lamps, rugs and pillows with an earthy, 70s aesthetic. “Traveling the world for 25 years, you see things, you experience cultures…it all comes out in the design,” said Kravitz. Here, we’ve chosen five items from the collection that we love, love, love (yes, that is a song reference).

1. Topanga corner bar, $749

Made of walnut veneer, this bar is more than just a display for an aesthetically pleasing bottle of Hendrick’s gin. There’s a shallow drawer on top and an open shelf below for storing books and other accessories.

2. Lola table lamp, $349

This eye-catching lamp measures nearly three feet high. The base is made of sandcast aluminium that’s lacquered in brass. Its surface is both smooth and textured, adding a layer of interest. “It doubles as a sculpture as well as a recognizable statement-making piece,” said Kravitz.

3. Nova side table, $399

A geometric side table that’s sure to take center stage, Nova is crafted of black metal and a faceted brass-plated metal base. The collection was, in part, inspired by the “sleek glam of New York club culture” — this table is certainly a testament to that.

4. Vibrations shag rug, $549 – $1,099

Leave it to Lenny Kravitz to bring shag carpet into the 21st century. Reminiscent of this season’s popular Ben Ourain rugs, the Kravitz Design version features cream, carbon, taupe and brown hues. While the rug looks soft enough to dig your toes into, it can also be used as textile wall art.

5. Icelandic sheepskin pillow-cushion, $179

Much like Lenny’s scarf (that no one seems to have forgotten about), this sheepskin pillow is oversized, allowing it to be used as a floor cushion for relaxed, intimate gatherings. Each pillow-cushion is unique and follows directives set for environmental preservation and protection.
