ParkCity Condos in the lakeside city of Burlington proves that it’s possible to have an urban lifestyle and yet remain close to nature.

Sure, residents at ParkCity Condos will have access to a wide range of modern amenities like a hotel-inspired party room and a fitness room filled with state-of-the-art workout equipment. And the building itself, with its clean lines and glass, is decidedly modern. But located at Walkers Line and Upper Middle Road, the community puts the great outdoors within easy reach.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park, which is just a ways up Upper Middle Road, offers a chance to go off the beaten path. The nearby expansive 6.4 square kilometre park includes a campground and other outdoorsy activities including a skating rink, a pool and even a small zoo.

Just south of ParkCity Condos, there’s the Burlington stretch of Lake Ontario’s Waterfront Trail, perfect for a light jog or bike ride. It’s just one of many in the area; in all, the city lays claim to over 130 kilometres of trails, including Bruce Trail, which offers impressive views of the majestic Niagara Escarpment. Meanwhile, the cliffs of Rattlesnake Point to the north are waiting to be scaled by the more adventurous ParkCity dwellers.

Of course, residents need not leave the comfort of the ParkCity Condos community for green space — though it’s easy to get around with the QEW and Appleby GO Station close by — as there’s a two-acre private park on-site.

Inside, units at Tobyn Park Homes development boast nine or 10-foot ceilings, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Prices start at $224,990 and construction is expected to be completed in 2017.

The ParkCity Condos sales centre is open Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 8pm, Friday by appointment only and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
