DogPark Urban Capital recently celebrated the announcement of Emma Park, the newest addition to the amenities package at River City Condos. Designed by well-known landscape architect Claude Cormier, the park will be a 4,360-square-foot, bone-shaped haven for dogs featuring crunchy pea gravel and fire hydrant installations.

Residents of River Park will have exclusive access to the park upon its completion in 2017. Emma Park will be completely off-leash and fenced in, so pet parents won’t have to worry about their precious pals escaping (although, why would they want to escape their own personal paradise?!).

Despite the rain, Urban Capital, community members and dog-lovers from all over enjoyed a fun-filled day Saturday to share their excitement over the much-anticipated park. A professional pet photographer, Piotr Organa, snapped free portraits of guests with their dogs while puppies from all over took part in a paw print art project and munched on treats from the dessert table, including the River City branded biscuits.

PawPrints The event wasn’t entirely geared towards dogs, though. Humans also enjoyed themselves checking out the River City Presentation Centre and touring the model condos.

River City Phase 3 is the latest addition to the multi-phase project on Queen Street East. The 332-unit building features up to 10-foot ceilings and 30 storeys of unique details and architecture. In addition to the upcoming dog park, the building’s amenities package includes a party room, a yoga and pilates studio and a guest suite.
