A two-tower project coming to downtown Montreal, Roccabella is the latest undertaking by MC Finance. Located at 1300 Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest, the condo development is sure to complement the city’s distinctive skyline.
Beïque Legault Thuot Architects is behind the project, which will feature a sleek glass and aluminium exterior that stretches up to 40 storeys high. Paying special attention to the site’s surroundings, the architects have ensured that at street level, Roccabella will blend into its urban environment. The two-storey podium will be topped with an open structure canopy which aligns with the volume of 1250 René-Lévesque W., the adjacent building on the east side.
Here’s how the Montreal-based firm has described their vision: “The will to create a humble project that harmonizes with downtown’s urban profile is reflected in the simplicity of volume, the alignment of loggias, and the rhythm of the podium.”
The podium will also see a wealth of commercial space, bringing new shops and services right outside the door of Roccabella residents.
Here’s a look at how the condo development, consisting of the Drummond Tower and Montagne Tower, will shape up:
Thanks to the buildings’ curtain wall window systems, the interiors will be light and airy. Other luxurious features inside the suites include Italian-designed kitchens and walk-in closets.
The architecture firm is famous for designing Quebec’s first condo and its longevity is a testament to its work creating distinctive, urban structures. Beïque Legault Thuot Architects is also behind a number of high-profile projects including the renovation of the historic Montreal Herald building on Saint-Antoine Street, Le Petit Hôtel in Old Montreal as well as the master plan for Place University St-Jacques.
Roccabella is currently under construction with units starting from $343 000.
