The blue-sky day highlighted the natural beauty of living so close to the Toronto waterfront, home to countless kilometres of pathways and bike trails and commanding views of the skyline.

The scale model of the impressive undertaking proved quite popular among the guests who came out for the celebration and ceremonial dig. Attendees enjoyed food truck fare from Gourmet Gringos, Buster’s Sea Cove as well as wood-fire pizza from Bonfire Catering. There was also ice cream from Mister Softee and classic BeaverTails – a must have for any summer event.
The crowd was dazzled by the performance of internationally acclaimed aerial ballet artists, Les Oiseaux Du Paradis and had an opportunity to take photos with the Eau Du Soleil mermaid too.
