The annual family-friendly Sweet Life event at Southwest Edmonton’s Allard in Heritage Valley housing community goes this Saturday, June 6th, from 12pm to 4pm at the Allard rink and show homes. As always, there will be plenty of games and treats to keep the kids entertained while parents get a chance to mingle with their fellow Allard homeowners, or if they haven’t purchased yet, tour any one of the 15 show homes.
Attending the Sweet Life event will also give attendees chance to check out the site of the forthcoming Allard (Heritage Valley) school. While the school has been in the works since planning and design funding was announced in late 2014, a recent announcement by the Alberta Government confirmed that construction would begin in the fall.
Besides the school, other neighbourhood and nearby amenities at Allard include parks and trails, as well as easy access to an LRT station, unique “Main Street”-style shopping, and plenty of nearby recreational options — including five golf courses. Allard is also just a short drive away from schools, shopping at The Currents and South Edmonton Common, and retail shops and services along Ellerslie Road.
