Empire Communities, one of Canada’s largest residential developers, announced Tuesday that Sue MacKay will join its team as Vice President, Marketing on May 19th. MacKay will bring over 14 years of experience in real estate sales and marketing management to her new role at Empire.
Dan Guizzetti, co-founder, CEO and President of Empire Communities, said the whole team is excited to welcome MacKay to the organization.
“Sue’s experience in marketing makes her an ideal candidate to manage our marketing department,” he said. “We strive to bring the best and most talented individuals to our company and look forward to working with Sue to help us drive profitable growth and continue to build Empire’s solid reputation of trust, while reaching industry milestones.”
Prior to joining Empire Communities, MacKay was the Vice President of Client Services at 52 Pick-up Inc., a design and advertising agency specializing in branding and real estate marketing. She also previously worked as a marketing director at Intrawest ULC, where she played a significant role in the real estate sales and marketing strategy for Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood.
In addition, MacKay is on the board of directors at the Urban Land Institute in Toronto. As the Co-Chair of Communications, she works to help raise awareness about the non-profit’s mission, programs and events.
Empire Communities is one of the largest high-rise and low-rise residential builders in Ontario. In just over 20 years of operation, it’s received more than 90 awards and accolades for its communities and customer service.
It also recently announced a creative re-brand and plans to expand into the US, with a particular focus on Texas.
