The 10-storey mid-rise condominium boasts contemporary architecture by onespace architecture + interior design that incorporates unique motion-inspired design elements. The structure’s asymmetrical design combined with L- and U-shapes in the brick facade results in a dynamic look that makes the building appear to be in motion.
“The contemporary asymmetrical design shall be created from traditional materials, which speaks to On The Danforth’s surroundings,” said Rod Rowbotham, President at onespace unlimited inc.
“The building rises giving a sense of movement, which is appropriate, considering On The Danforth is on the subway line.”
The sense of motion carries forward inside with interiors by esQape design inc. that feature a similar kinetic treatment of lines and planes.
The concept is evident in the newly released rendering of the project’s lobby which reveal vertical wood panels that run the height of the wall and continue into the ceiling.
The bright and spacious lobby also features a concierge desk clad in soft textures of wood, and a cozy sitting area finished with a modern wall fireplace.
“As soon as residents and guests open the door and step into the lobby, they will feel the excitement of this urban setting,” said Rowbotham.
Suites at On The Danforth are priced from the $200,000s, range in size from 436 square feet to 1,032 square feet and come equipped with nine foot ceilings and a kitchen appliance package.
