The Primus-brand boutique hotel will join the two condominium towers already slated for development at King Street and Blue Jays Way.
King Blue Condos is the Chinese real estate developer’s first project in Canada.
“Canada has proven to be a strong real estate market for many years now and we envision a future here that allows us to contribute to this economic prosperity,” said Henry Cao, president of the developer’s Canadian operation.
“Not only are we pleased to launch real estate projects in Canada but also to create jobs such as the opening of a new downtown hotel.”
The complex will also feature a 10,000 square foot permanent home for Canada’s Theatre Museum.
“We’re incredibly excited about Greenland’s plans for the project and their support of our industry,” said Marlene Smith, Chair of Theatre Museum Canada. “Canada has always had an abundant theatre culture, and our new home in the heart of the district is something we’re very proud to see happen in the city of Toronto.”
