picasso Picasso on Richmond has hit a new milestone — the 39 storey tower just celebrated its official topping-off. Monarch and The Goldman Group held a luncheon to thank those involved in the condominium’s development.

Located in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, the building will soon become a distinct landmark in the city skyline.

Picasso on Richmond’s abstract form was designed by Teeple Architects, with unconventionally shaped windows and protrusions outlined in bold red. Construction is on-schedule, with an anticipated move in date of December 2016. The condominium is more than 95 per cent sold, but a limited selection of units are still available, ranging between 749 and 1,231 square feet. Prices start in the $400,000s.

The open-concept living spaces will be characterized by nine foot ceilings, laminate flooring, granite or quartz kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, breakfast bars or islands, cultured marble vanities and soaker tubs or separate showers with rain showerheads, as per plan.

Picasso on Richmond will offer a compelling array of social and recreational amenities. The open-air lobby has an art gallery feel and will be supervised by a 24/7 concierge. The Pulse fitness centre boasts cardio and weight training equipment, a yoga/aerobics area and mens and women’s change rooms with lockers, showers and dry saunas. The Cue Lounge will have billiards, a flat screen TV and ample seating. Plus, it’s adjacent to the party room with catering kitchen. There’s also a landscaped terrace with al fresco dining areas, barbecues, a hot tub, fireplace and lounge chairs.

Picasso on Richmond is centrally located at 318 Richmond Street West. Browse the shops along Queen West, go for dim sum in Chinatown or grab a drink at a bar in Kensington Market — these vibrant neighbourhoods are all within walking distance. Come September you’ll be in the centre of the action at the Toronto International Film Festival. Traversing the city is easy thanks to the nearby Queen streetcar and Osgoode Station. There’s also a convenient car share program to get you where you need to go.
