Currently under construction at the corner of Duncan and Nelson streets, Studio2 Condos now rises 24 storeys above Toronto’s vibrant Entertainment District. Quadrangle Architects designed the 41-storey structure, which is the second tower in the Studio on Richmond development by Aspen Ridge Homes.
BuzzBuzzHome News dropped by the site last week to snap some photos of the progress.
With crews now working on the 25th floor deck, Studio2 is well past the halfway point and should be topped off by the end of the year.
Over on the podium, most of the precast and glazing work is complete with the majority of windows and doors now installed. The eight storey base was designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding historic warehouse buildings and is graced with a soft-toned, precast facade.
Once complete, Studio2 will house 425 suites ranging in size from 601 square feet to 1,357 square feet and will boast interiors by renowned interior design firm Mike Niven Interior Design Inc. The suites come well appointed with nine foot ceilings, engineered wood floors, granite or CaesarStone kitchen countertops and modern Miele appliances.
The project also offers residents a host of amenities for both entertainment and relaxation. These include a chic lounge, bar, media, and billiards room, as well as a stylish private dining room connected to a well equipped kitchen servery. An 8,000 square foot gallery space and cafe will also be built as part of the project’s partnership with OCAD University.
Other amenities include a tranquil Winter Lounge, a fully equipped fitness centre with yoga studio and cardio room, and a sixth floor aqua lounge with hot tub.
Sales at Studio 2 start at $379,990. Prospective homebuyers can visit the presentation centre located at 25 Nelson Street, Monday through Thursdays and weekends from 12pm to 6pm.
