On Saturday, March 7th West Shore Beach Club by Summerhill Homes will present its donation of new and gently used skates and hockey equipment to Skate to Great, a charity that aims to provide every child in Canada with the opportunity to skate, regardless of economic or physical circumstances.
The event will begin at noon at the West Shore Beach Club sales office, located at 9361 Highway 11 North in Severn. Skate to Great co-founder Evan Kosiner will be there to accept the donations, which have been accumulating since December when the initiative began. The skates will then be donated to children in Orillia who are in need.
If you haven’t had a chance to donate, there’s still time — the West Shore Beach Club sales offices in Orillia and Richmond Hill will continue to accept contributions until Saturday.
West Shore Beach Club is a gated, resort style community on the shores of Lake Couchiching in Severn. The detached, single-family homes are priced from the high $300,000s and new designs are expected to be unveiled soon. Interiors will feature eat-in kitchens, deep soaker tubs and solid oak staircases. Residents will be provided with the very best social and recreational amenities such as the private clubhouse, waterfront terrace, gazebo with gas fireplace, 85 foot floating dock, hot tub and fire pit on the private, sandy beach.
