Touring the swanky new sales centre and model suite at 5959 Yonge St Condos

Coming soon to the bustling Yonge Street corridor in North York, 5959 Yonge St Condos by Ghods Builders is one of the most anticipated developments in the city.

Earlier this week BuzzBuzzHome News was invited to tour the new sales centre with Honey Ghods, Vice-President of Business Development.

Located on-site just north of Cummer Avenue, the building, which was once a service centre for a car dealership has been transformed into an impressive presentation centre complete with a penthouse model suite.

Designed and decorated by interior design firm DesignTheory, the two bedroom, two bathroom model suite boasts timeless, classic and modern design elements and showcases many of the suite’s standard and optional features.

At the front of the suite, you’ll find a grand entryway complemented by a very sturdy, solid front door, standard on every suite.

“Ghods Builders really like to emphasize the entryway,” said Ghods. “When you walk into a space, it needs to be inviting, and something you’re proud of.”

The main living area is equipped with standard laminate floors which can be upgraded to hardwood, while the lavish kitchen features quartz countertops and a stainless steel appliance package. The kitchen in the model suite also features a custom art niche backed with mirrors, that help to add visual depth to the space.

The master retreat is luxuriously appointed with a tufted headboard bed, two mirrored night tables and elegant wall moulding. To help reduce clutter, closets can be equipped with handy organizers, while a safety deposit box comes standard with every suite.

If the model suite isn’t enough to impress potential homebuyers, the wide array of amenities sure will. Spread out over four storeys, the amenities at 5959 Yonge St Condos include a 10-pin bowling alley, movie theatre, media room, numerous water features, state-of-the-art fitness centre, steam room, sauna, yoga/pilates studio, barbecue patio bar and rooftop terrace. There’s also a two-storey Chai atrium garden on the 32nd floor which is sure to offer great views of the city.

However, the centrepiece of the 40,000 square feet amenity area would have to be the multi-purpose LED sports court. This high tech sports court is the first of its kind in a residential building and allows users to play a variety of sports thanks to LED lighting technology beneath the glass floor.

The first phase of the community will also offer 15,000 square feet of ground level retail space. Although tenants for the retail spaces haven’t been revealed yet, we do know that one of them will be a high end grocery store that will allow customers to order items directly from their mobile devices to be delivered to their doors.
