Enigma is one of only a handful of new construction projects in Bloordale, which has only strengthened demand. However, a wide variety of floorplans are still available — prospective buyers may choose from studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, two bedroom plus den and three bedroom condos. Looking for room to grow? Multi-storey two and three bedroom plus den townhomes are also on the market. Units range between 422 and 1,506 square feet and start at $231,900.
The nine storey, 86-unit residence will include a state-of-the-art gym, theatre, common room and a rooftop lounge with a fire pit and barbecues. Enigma on the Park was designed by Quadrangle Architects to attract the eye with its unique, patterned façade and innovative structure.
Suite interiors will feature wide plank hardwood flooring, reclaimed brick walls, nine foot ceilings, peninsula or centre kitchen islands, quartz countertops, Kohler fixtures, soaker tubs, walk-in frameless glass showers and patios or balconies, as per plan.
Like the name suggests, Enigma is adjacent to a serene park with a playground, wading pool, sports fields and community events. Catch the streetcar or take the subway downtown from Lansdowne Station — it’s less than a 10 minute walk from your door. The brand new Metrolinx Union Pearson Express stop will share the station with GO Transit’s Bloor Station. The station will be ready for service in spring 2015, just ahead of the Pan Am Games.
Bloordale is a diverse, up-and-coming neighbourhood that is full of hidden gems. Grab a drink on the patio at 3 Speed, chow down on a jerk chicken sandwich at Caribbean Queen or check out an exhibit at Scrap Metal Gallery, housed in a former wine fermentation outlet.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to tour the Enigma on the Park presentation centre at 138 St. Helens Ave, featuring a full model suite. Stop by from Monday to Thursday, noon to 6pm or on weekends from noon to 5pm. Once construction begins, a new presentation centre will be erected at Bloor and Lansdowne.
